                Age
                28 years old.

                Occupation
I'm the Executive Director of the Earth House Collective.

                Hometown
Born in Lansing, MI, grew up in Indianapolis, IN.  I flirted briefly with San Diego and St. Louis, but Indy's my home.

                Education
B.A. from a Midwest college in Psychology/Religion, minor in Communication.
M.A. from the University of Indianapolis in Clinical Psychology.

                Faith Background
I grew up in a black-and-white pew-jumping uber-conservative non-denominationally evangelical church bubble.  Recurring negative experiences with several of these groups coupled with study of the synoptic gospels led me to question the compatibility of many of these beliefs with the words of Jesus.  I've found meaning in the Wesleyan lens of christian thought, and ironically - or maybe perfectly - it was the words of the Dalai Lama in a TIME magazine article that encouraged me to embrace the good elements of the faith that shaped my understanding of the world.

Why are you at Lockerbie Central?
I walked through the doors of Lockerbie while it was in the process of dying; a failing experiment in throwing two dying churches together with a pastor straight out of seminary that eventually birthed this new version and the community project that is Earth House.  I've found the mission of Lockerbie - to Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly - a compelling call to think creatively about how we build extraordinary community with the people of all backgrounds and faiths around us.  I didn't expect to be yet here I am, 3 years later, still walking through the doors of a church building.

                What's exciting you right now?
I am excited to see the three years of blood, sweat and tears in the Lockerbie Central and Earth House projects coming to fruition. The future is bright on the corner of New York and East Streets!  Recently moved downtown, sold my car and started cycling-only.  I'm doing what I can to get things moving on a transit system in Marion County.
