              This Week

We need your help!  Work has begun on repainting the parsonage and preparing the garden beds for this year's planting.  Can you spare a few hours tomorrow, Saturday, during the day or on Sunday at 5p before worship and conversation to help out?  Please consider giving some time to these outdoor projects.

This Sunday we continue our series focusing on trade justice using a study created by Sojourners. Join us for an exploration of the biblical context and ethical framework for trade justice as we explore how to live out God's call for justice in today's global economy.

Mark your calendar for Food Independence Day, Sunday May 6, a celebration of local food, our urban garden, and the wonderful season of Spring. Join our tradition of sharing local food with the fine people from Earth House, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, U Relish, Naptown Chickens and other nifty Indy folk. Bring a dish made from scratch w/local ingredients to share with the crowd - and invite everyone you know! Following dinner there will be a showing of the film, Fresh.

              Peace,
              Brenda

               . . . a historic community doing church in a new way.
At Lockerbie Central we are re-imagining what is means to be church.  Our home is in a beautiful historic building built by the church in the late 1800s that we want lots of people to enjoy.  To make this possible, we created Earth House Collective in partnership with the community as a way to extend radical hospitality in downtown Indianapolis and to join with like-minded folks tackling issues of justice and social action. Over the past three years Earth House has grown into one of the best places in Indy to experience art, music, culture, healthy food, a great cup of fair trade coffee, and a community in action.
All this is happening in a place of worship and spiritual growth.
